At Represent, we are on a mission to build the best brand in the world and we are now looking to build out our Management Accounts team. We are looking to add an experienced Management Accountant who will take ownership of the delivery of the monthly management accounts. Reporting into the Financial Controller this role will play a key part in delivering accurate, timely and insightful management information. This role will be a key contributor to the ongoing development and improvement of all finance processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the delivery of the monthly management accounts the Represent Inc subsidiary, ensuring all adjustments are posted to provide accurate financial reporting;

• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations;

• Adhere to the month-end timetable, ensuring all tasks are completed on-time and any issues are flagged and escalated to the FC and CFO;

• Undertake P&L analysis of direct costings, with a key focus on the variable costs of warehousing, courier and transaction fee costs;

• Undertake P&L analysis of overhead costs;

• Support the Financial Controller in preparing the monthly management accounts pack alongside the board pack with commentary;

• Support the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting process, providing input and insight from monthly reviews of the actuals;

• Own the preparation of the monthly territory specific P&L's;

• Play a key role in ensuring budget stakeholders understand and take accountability for their figures - delivering monthly reports vs. budget and re-forecast;

• Maintain Excel and Power BI driven financial models and reports;

• Play a key part in supporting with the annual statutory audit;

• Maintain up-to-date process flow documents for all key tasks and processes;

• Work closely with the Systems team to ensure all financial and transactional data are recorded accurately in the ERP;

• Assist with ad hoc reporting queries from stakeholders – within the wider business;

• Support and mentor the Assistant Management Accountant;

• Support and assist the wider transactional finance team, ensuring best practice and 'right first time' approach is adopted across the team.

What you’ll need

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant, part-qualified will be considered if near qualification

• 2+ years of experience within management accounts

• Strong Excel skills and comfortable with handling and manipulating large datasets

• Experience in working in a fast-paced environment (preferably in an e-Commerce or Retail environment)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical capabilities and a proven attention-to-detail

• Proven experience in implementing process and system improvements

• A proactive and collaborative working style

• Appetite to work in a demanding environment

• Preferred experience and knowledge of using NetSuite, Power BI
